Most audiobooks are one voice reading a book. Three of ours are produced like films without the screen — a distinct voice for every character, with sound effects built under every scene. Machines hum. Guns fire. People scream.

The man behind the story
John "Divine G" Whitfield wrote his first novel in a cell.
He is now an Oscar-nominated adapted screenwriter and executive producer, and the man whose true story became the A24 film Sing Sing — where he's played by Colman Domingo, who earned a Best Actor nomination for the role.
He spent 25 years incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. Inside, he co-founded Rehabilitation Through the Arts, the program at the heart of that film, and wrote the eight novels Divine G Entertainment publishes today.
He is still fighting for official exoneration.
